I’ve been feeling down again. I kinda feel like my friends don’t really want to hang out with me anymore. It’s so stupid to write things like that.

I don’t know whats going on. Chemical imbalance must be swaying again. I can’t think straight. I think my brains are leaking out.

Xmas went well. Got a few new clothes, kids racked up as usual.

I’m ready for Saturday.

I need to start meditation or something. I’ve thought about it for years, even when I was younger I “seriously” thought about taking it up. I have alot of anger and bad feelings in my life that I really need to get out. Music use to be my outlet, but I find it hard to write “those” songs, “these” days. Anywho.

We get to do some last minute, last chance xmas shopping tonight. Fun, I bet its going to be insane, as I went to walmart Monday and it was crazy as hell.

I am always confused around xmas time because of they dinner partys. I think we may have to skip my familys this year and do kenni’s because we skipped them for Thanksgiving. Oh well, I’ll save some gas.

We need a break from our kids, and my mom is willing to watch them this weekend, but then we will be stuck with them on New Years eve. I guess we are going to hold out till New Years so we can party with kev and hells.

Hopefully Kevin and I will get to work on some more \m/ music soon. I enjoyed last week.

I am putting on weight too fast, I need to slow it down. I’ve gained almost 35 lbs in 6-8 months. Everybody says “You’re filling out”.

I need to start smoking again.

I am getting sick. I feel absolutely awful today.

It started on the way to work, I hope it has nothing to do with not taking my medicine for 2 days. I don’t think so, but who knows.

I think it’s a cold, harlow was feeling bad last night, and kenneth said that it was going around.

THE FROGS, grieved at having no established Ruler, sent ambassadors to Jupiter entreating for a King. Perceiving their simplicity, he cast down a huge log into the lake. The Frogs were terrified at the splash occasioned by its fall and hid themselves in the depths of the pool. But as soon as they realized that the huge log was motionless, they swam again to the top of the water, dismissed their fears, climbed up, and began squatting on it in contempt. After some time they began to think themselves ill-treated in the appointment of so inert a Ruler, and sent a second deputation to Jupiter to pray that he would set over them another sovereign. He then gave them an Eel to govern them. When the Frogs discovered his easy good nature, they sent yet a third time to Jupiter to beg him to choose for them still another King. Jupiter, displeased with all their complaints, sent a Heron, who preyed upon the Frogs day by day till there were none left to croak upon the lake.

Well, it’s that time again, new Korn time. This album, in a whole, is in a very different place. Typical Korn kids won’t like this album. Very Industrial and very polished. Think of it as Untouchables part 2. Here is the song review.

1. Twisted Transistor - I like this song, good single. Not much more to say.

2. Politics - Eh…. Don’t really like this song all that much. Seems very childish lyric wise “Everyone’s corrupt, you should just shut up”. WTF? The groove in the chorus is good, I am just not impressed by Jonathan at all. Sounds like this song was written for the 12-15 year old kids. “Don’t want to talk about politics!”. Kinda lame.

3. Hypocrites - Good song, I love the opening riff. Jon’s lyrics are a bit better here, although I dont’ really know what “pay the merrymen, pay the fucking driver” means. This song was definately inspired by former guitarist Head’s new religous dealings. I think the music on this song is top notch, the pre-chorus is amazing, along with the chorus. I especially like the double bass tribal thing that David does before the last chorus.

4. Souvenir - One of the best songs on the album, pounding in your face riffs and drums. I love the overly distorted guitar on this track. The pre-chorus is the first hint at old korn, with the descending sliding riff while Jonathan sings “Souvenir of Sadness, Method to the madness” I don’t really care for the bridge, it doesnt have that “umphh” Korn is usually known for, but the immediate return of the pre chorus is to die for.

5. 10 or 2 way - I have mixed feelings about this song. I think the lyrics are kinda lame, but at the same time, the music seems to be stepped up a notch. The bassline is very nice. I like the chorus, lots of power. The bridge is pretty amazing, with the death metal growls and the oldschool korn sounding music in the background. Then as the parting note, we get a amazing interlude to the next track featuring darth vader like breathing, a heart beating and some wicked sped up bagpipes….good stuff.

6. Throw me away - Hrm. Not a huge fan of this song, but I do like the chorus alot. I don’t know, I am really split on this track. It’s got a nice Queen of the damned style to it, but it loses me somewhere.

7. Love Song - Awesome track. One of my favorites. Lyrically this song has really evolved from the rest of the album. “Mother! Your holding my heart screaming!”. The music is very industrial sounding. The Pre-chorus is just right. The chorus revists once again, the old korn style with the descending low tuned sludge guitar riff. It is complimented by a different singing style by Jonathan. The bridge is pretty nice too, although it seems kind of displaced. Jon trys to go all opera after the bridge with the acapella singing. The return of the descending riff closes things nicely.

8. Open up - I love the chorus of this song, the melody is amazing. The music is very funky yet dark. Lyrics it’s better than most songs on this album. I can see this as a single in the future. It has a beatiful bridge, simply amazing. Features the glass armonica, a nice mix with the clean guitars. To top off this song, we have another strange interlude with bagpipes, scat and a very haunting background beat.

9. This is my favorite track on the album. Lyrically and musically, this shows korn at their finest. The catchiness of it is infectious. I would definately have this as my second single. “Wait! I’m coming undone!”. The bridge is another first for Korn, something I havent really heard them do before. Once again, the sliding descending riff is there again.

10. I don’t really like this song lyrically. The music is okay. I do, however, like the death metal growls that Jon does through out the track. Not much to say, not one of my favs, but not horrible.
